Our “German Rose” collection combines style and class in a new way for ArmStreet. Instead of using flashy trims and heavy adornment, we have focussed more on beautiful shapes and fine materials, causing you to focus on the base form instead of the finishing touches. With this necklace, we wanted to make something that would contrast with the natural fabrics of the other dresses and garments. The heavy look of brass and enamel contrast with the simple textures of linen and cotton to produce a luxurious but still understated beauty.
This necklace is tight-fitting, hanging around your neck in a way that is fitted but not uncomfortable. It consists of a number of brass rectangles, which have been designed by our artists after research into motifs from the 16th century. All placed next to each other, they are reminiscent of a series of stained glass windows, lining the sides of a church. Though this necklace isn’t historical, we have put the effort in to create something that could have existed and fits into the aesthetic of the time period adequately. The brass has been laser cut to ensure each has a precise shape, and with enamel filling the gaps to create a stunning contrast of materials. Each square is connected by brass rings to make sure they hang correctly.
The subtle little finishing touch for this item is the pendant that hangs in the middle. It is dainty and small, like a little design that could fit into a stained glass window. Just like the rectangles, it has been laser cut and then filled with enamel. The necklace closes at the back with beautiful little hooks that blend in with the rest of the necklace.

The photos show the German Chemise with a black topstitch embroidery on the seams — but I do not see it offered on the actual chemise page. Is this a custom option that can be added with an extra cost? I really like that contrasting look.
Hi Anna, this chemise will be available for purchase on the website within couple of weeks.
